Frequently Asked Questions
Each request is reviewed individually and remains subject to Georgia law and notarial requirements. We are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice.
What identification is accepted?
We generally accept current, government-issued photo identification such as a state driver's license, a state ID card, a U.S. or foreign passport, or a military ID. Identification must be valid and satisfy Georgia notarial requirements. If you are unsure whether your ID qualifies, ask us before the appointment.
Should I sign my document before the appointment?
Please do not sign in advance unless specifically instructed. For most notarial acts, the signer must sign in the presence of the notary. Bring your complete, unsigned document and your acceptable identification.
Can the notary choose a document for me?
No. We are not attorneys and cannot select forms, prepare legal documents, or decide which document you need. Please bring the completed document you or your attorney have prepared.
Can the notary explain my legal documents?
No. A notary cannot explain the legal effect of a document or give legal advice. For legal questions, please consult a licensed attorney.
Are witnesses available?
Witness coordination may be available depending on the document and location. Availability, eligibility, and pricing are confirmed before the appointment, and additional charges may apply.
Do you travel to hospitals and senior facilities?
Yes. We offer mobile appointments at hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, assisted-living communities, and hospice locations, subject to facility procedures and the signer's ability to participate.
What if the signer is unable to communicate or appears unaware?
The signer must be aware of what is happening and willing to sign. If the signer cannot communicate clearly or does not appear to understand the act, we may be unable to proceed. Each situation is reviewed individually under Georgia law.
Do you offer online notarization?
Georgia does not currently have a permanent remote online notarization law, so we focus on in-person mobile appointments. If your needs change, contact us and we will let you know what is available.
Do you provide apostille facilitation?
Yes. We coordinate, review, submit, and arrange courier handling for documents intended for international use. Apostille issuance and acceptance are decided by the appropriate government authority, and approval cannot be guaranteed.
Are travel fees charged?
Mobile appointments include travel within the standard service area. Additional travel, parking, tolls, and related charges may apply depending on distance and location, and are disclosed before service.
Are same-day appointments available?
Same-day and urgent appointments may be available by request. Rush charges may apply. Contact us as early as possible so we can confirm availability.
What payment methods are accepted?
Accepted payment methods are confirmed when your appointment is scheduled. Ask us about current options when you request your appointment.
Can a document written in another language be notarized?
It depends on the document and the notarial act. The notary must be able to identify the signer and complete the required notarial certificate. Contact us with the details and we will review your request individually.
What happens if the signer does not have acceptable identification?
If a signer cannot present acceptable identification, we may be unable to perform the notarial act. Contact us in advance to discuss your identification so we can help you prepare.
